This blog which you are about to read is aimed at encouraging and developing the art of critical thinking among young Africans.
It can be categorically stated that thinking is one of the most important functions of the human being.
It can be said that thinking is an important if not more important than breathing. After all, a man or woman who is brain dead is pronounced clinically dead even though he or she may in actual fact still be breathing.
The intention of this blog therefore is to introduce the reader to the art of critical thinking by taking him or her through critical and philosophical thought that have gone on through the ages with the hope that by acquainting him or herself with various subjects in critical thinking the reader will him or herself develop a critical mind.
Let us be clear from the onset, the aim of this blog is not to teach philosophy but to turn the reader into a philosopher so that happiness, contentment and other virtues will be achievable by the reader in a world that appears to be full of suffering and disappointment.
All these will be done so that after all is said and done reason and hope will be victorious over despair and hopelessness.
Reason and philosophizing are not one way streets. Everyone has his or her own views on various subjects. We will therefore be welcoming your views on subjects featured in this blog and indeed any philosophical subject
We must also state from the onset is that our aim is not to bore you with long winding and boring theories and we will try as much as it is possible to be brief and concise.
We are glad to have you take this journey with us and we hope you find it as exciting as we do
